Drain Jetting Bayswater

When a plunger or drain snake won't cut it

Some blockages are too big or too stubborn for basic tools. Grease that has set hard along the kitchen line, tree roots packed into a sewer joint, or years of silt sitting in a stormwater pipe. A drain snake might punch a hole through it, but the drain blocks again a few weeks later.

High pressure drain clearing, also called drain jetting, sends water at very high pressure through a special nozzle. The jets break up the blockage and scour the inside of the pipe, then flush everything away down the line.

Jetting works well for:

  • Grease and fat build-up in kitchen drains
  • Tree roots in sewer and stormwater lines
  • Silt, sand and leaves in stormwater pipes
  • Soap scum and hair in bathroom and laundry lines
  • Blockages that keep coming back
How It Works

Cleared properly the first time

We start by finding the access point closest to the blockage and working out which line is affected. If the pipe is old or we suspect damage, we run a CCTV drain camera through first, because some fragile pipes need a gentler approach.

The jetter then works its way through the line until the water flows freely. For tree roots we use a root cutting nozzle that slices through the roots and flushes them out.

Once the line is clear we can run the camera again to confirm the job is done and check whether roots or age have damaged the pipe. If a repair is needed, we show you the footage and explain your options.

High Pressure Drain Clearing FAQs

  • We check the pipe condition first. Fragile or damaged pipes, such as some older clay lines, may need a gentler method or a repair before jetting is used.

  • A drain snake bores a hole through the blockage. Jetting scours the whole pipe wall clean, so the blockage is far less likely to come straight back.

  • Yes. A root cutting nozzle clears roots out of the pipe. If roots keep returning, the joint they are getting through may need repair, and we can show you this on camera.

  • Most homes only need it when there is a problem. Properties with large trees near the sewer line may benefit from regular maintenance jetting to stop roots building up.

  • No. The water and debris are flushed down the drain line, and we keep the work area clean and tidy.
