Stormwater Drain Clearing Bayswater

Overflowing pits, water pooling in the yard, or downpipes backing up in heavy rain? We clear blocked stormwater drains across Bayswater and the eastern suburbs before the next storm hits.

Stormwater Drains Bayswater

Got a problem with your stormwater drainage?

Your stormwater system carries rain from the roof, gutters and paved areas away from the house. When it blocks, the water has nowhere to go and ends up pooling against the house, flooding the driveway, or soaking in under the slab.

Signs your stormwater is blocked:

  • Downpipes overflowing at the base during rain
  • Stormwater pits full or overflowing
  • Water pooling in the yard or against the house
  • Gutters overflowing even after they have been cleaned
  • Soggy lawn areas that never dry out
How We Fix It

Get your stormwater cleared properly

We track down where the blockage is, working from the downpipes and pits through to the street. Leaves, silt and roots are flushed out with high pressure jetting, and a drain camera shows whether the pipe has been cracked, crushed or pushed out of line.

If a section of pipe is damaged, we can dig it up and replace it so the problem does not keep coming back. We explain what we found and what it will cost before we start.

Stormwater Drain Clearing FAQs

  • Common signs are downpipes overflowing at the base during rain, pits that fill and overflow, and water pooling in the yard or against the house.

  • No. Stormwater only carries rain from the roof and hard surfaces. Sewer pipes carry waste from toilets, showers and sinks. They are separate systems, and stormwater must not be connected to the sewer.

  • The stormwater pipes on your property are generally the owner's responsibility, up to where they connect to the street or council drain. Blockages in the council drain itself are the council's responsibility.

  • Yes. Roots are drawn to the moisture in stormwater lines and can grow through joints and cracks. We can clear them with jetting and check the pipe condition with a camera.

  • Most homes only need it when there is a problem. If you have large trees nearby, a check before winter can stop leaves and roots causing flooding in the first big storm.

  • Yes. We are based in Bayswater North and cover Melbourne's eastern suburbs, including Knox, Boronia, Heathmont, Wantirna, Ringwood, Ferntree Gully, and surrounding areas. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call.
