Heathmont is a leafy, hilly residential suburb in the Maroondah area, centred on Heathmont Station and the village shops, with established trees lining most streets. The housing is mostly 1960s and 70s brick veneer, and the undulating terrain shapes a lot of the plumbing problems we see. The issues vary by street, the age of the property, and what's been touched over the years. Here's what comes up most often.

Storm Water, Gutters and Downpipes on the Hills

Heathmont's undulating terrain is the single biggest factor in the roof plumbing work we do. When heavy rain hits, run-off comes down the slopes quickly, and gutters that are even slightly undersized or partly blocked overflow almost straight away. Established trees drop leaves and seed pods that clog gutters and downpipes, so a small overflow can turn into water running down an external wall or into a ceiling.

We carry out gutter cleans, downpipe repairs, leaf guard installation, full gutter replacements and storm water repairs across Heathmont.
